BusBook provides online bus search, booking, ticket management, cancellation, refund support, and customer support services for travellers in India.

This Privacy Policy explains how BusBook collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use the BusBook website, mobile app, booking flow, support channels, or related services.

We collect information needed to search, book, support, and manage bus tickets. This may include your name, mobile number, email address, passenger name, age, gender, selected seat, route, travel date, boarding point, dropping point, fare, booking ID, ticket number, operator reference, payment reference, cancellation details, and refund status.

Where required by a bus operator, booking partner, payment partner, law, or travel rule, we may collect or process identity-related details that you provide for booking, verification, support, cancellation, or refund purposes.

We may collect device and usage information such as IP address, browser type, app version, device model, operating system, pages/screens used, crash logs, diagnostic logs, and approximate location inferred from network information. This helps us keep the service secure, fix errors, prevent misuse, and improve performance.

We use your information to show bus options, check availability, calculate fares, process bookings, verify payments, issue tickets or vouchers, send booking updates, manage passenger details, provide customer support, process cancellations, estimate refunds, handle disputes, and comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.

We may use your contact details to send booking confirmations, ticket links, payment status, cancellation updates, refund updates, support replies, and important service messages. We do not sell your personal information.

Payments are processed through authorized payment gateway partners such as Cashfree and their banking, card, UPI, wallet, or fraud-prevention partners. BusBook may receive and store payment status, order ID, transaction ID, amount, refund status, and related references needed to complete or support a booking.

BusBook does not store your full card number, UPI PIN, net banking password, OTP, CVV, or similar payment credentials. These are handled by the payment gateway, bank, or payment app according to their own security and privacy practices.

We share only the information required to provide the service with relevant partners, including bus operators, bus inventory or booking API providers, payment gateways, banks, fraud-prevention systems, ticketing systems, hosting providers, analytics or diagnostic tools, and customer support tools such as live chat providers.

These partners may process information only as needed for booking, payment, ticket confirmation, cancellation, refund, customer support, security, legal compliance, or service operation.

When you contact BusBook support through live chat, email, website, or app support, we may collect your message, contact details, booking details, device or browser details, and support conversation history so we can respond and resolve your request.

If a third-party live chat service is used, your chat information may be processed by that service for message delivery, visitor identification, support history, and service reliability.

When you request cancellation or refund support, we may process booking ID, ticket number, payment reference, operator cancellation policy, estimated refund amount, final refund amount, refund status, and support notes.

Refunds are subject to operator rules, booking partner rules, payment gateway status, bank processing timelines, and applicable deductions. Approximate refund values shown in BusBook are for customer guidance and may be finalized by the operator or booking partner.

We retain booking, payment, cancellation, refund, support, security, and accounting records for as long as needed to provide services, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain business records, and support customers.

Some records may need to be retained even after an account or data deletion request where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, payment dispute, or regulatory reasons.

You may contact BusBook support to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information. We may verify your identity and booking relationship before processing such requests.

Data deletion requests may not delete records that we must keep for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, refund, chargeback, dispute-resolution, or operational reasons. Where deletion is not possible, we will restrict or retain the information only as required.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect customer information against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration. However, no internet, payment, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should never share OTPs, UPI PINs, card CVV, net banking passwords, payment passwords, or account passwords with anyone claiming to represent BusBook.

BusBook is intended for users who can make lawful travel bookings. If a passenger is a minor, booking information should be provided by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children for account creation or independent use of the service.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect service, legal, technology, or business changes. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date.

Continued use of BusBook after the policy is updated means you accept the updated policy.
